According to the following tweets made by Glee cast members this week, they are in the process of filming their second prom episode:

I just have two questions for you guys:

      1. Are you excited to see what’s happening in the above mentioned scenes?
      2. Where the heck is Quinn Fabray?? :(

Sorry, Mr. T. You can stop grooming your mohawk now, because the role of Puck’s father on Glee has finally been cast, and you didn’t get it. Who did?

TVLine is happy to exclusively report that Melrose Place vet Thomas Calabro will play the estranged father of Mark Salling‘s underachiever in this season’s 18th episode, which is slated to air in April.

Puck’s mom, as played by Gina Hecht, was introduced in the Season 1 episode “Mash-Up.”

Though it’s Wednesday today, how about a little news on “Friday”? The hot rumor of the hour is that Glee‘s prom episode will include a cover of Rebecca Black’s infamous YouTube hit “Friday,” and Vulture can confirm that andreveal an opposite-sex twist: The ode to fun, sitting in the backseat, fun, and fun will be sung by Kevin McHale, Chord Overstreet, and Mark Salling. (Though another rumor had returning guest star Jonathan Groff taking part, we hear he isn’t involved.) Who knows: Maybe if this attempt in covering viral-video ditties turns out well, Ryan Murphy could talk Gwyneth Paltrow into a rendition of “I’m Zack”?

I don’t normally like to post spoilers on the main page, but people were literally freaking out over the Bieber tribute news yesterday.

Contrary to false reports that have been floating online, our beloved Glee is not doing a Justin Bieber- themed episode.

The show’s creator and executive producer, Ryan Murphy, exclusively tells PerezHilton.com, “Glee is NOT doing a Justin Bieber tribute episode. We are not doing any more of those this season. Those are reserved for artists with a big catalogue, ala Madonna and Britney, etc.”

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Beliebers!

BUT, there is some good news!

Justin’s music WILL be featured in an upcoming episode!

Explains Murphy, “We are doing an episode where Sam sings a JB song to win Quinn back…and copies his hairstyle, etc. But it’s a small part of a big episode that has a LOT of other things going on.”

And there you have it, folks!

There is still speculation that the Glee writers changed their minds after seeing how upset the fans were about it yesterday. What do you guys think?

The often inaccurate online gossip reporting website HollywoodLife.com posted an article yesterday claiming that Mark Salling, who plays Puck, was booted from the show because of a supposed breach of contract when he decided to do a solo album.

This is totally and completely untrue!

Quite a few sites and blogs jumped at the chance to prove this so-called “news” wrong. The following is the message that was put out

“It’s all incorrect. Of course Mark is still on the show, he just wasn’t in that episode.” We’re assured that Salling didn’t appear in the episode for creative reasons, not contractual trouble. Puck’s short absence simply makes room for Sam (Chord Overstreet) to find his place in the “Glee” club — and to sing his way into the heart of Puck’s ex, Quinn (Dianna Agron). It’s not uncommon for series regulars to miss a few episodes here and there – Sue (Jane Lynch) and Emma (Jayma Mays) were also missing in action for the episode in question.

The above is the truth. We are SO glad that this rumor was false. Glee could never be the same without Puck in our opinions.

Also, Puck will not be in the next episode, 2.05 – “The Rocky Horror Glee Show” airing October 26. He will be playing the “talking lips,” apparently, but otherwise, there will be no Puck scenes. That’s just what we’ve heard around. Hopefully that is wrong, but apparently he will be back for episode 2.06 – “Never Been Kissed,” which airs on November 2. We’ve heard that his storyline will be the main one in that episode. Hopefully this is true! We miss having Noah Puckerman on our screens!

Article written by Brittany on 14 Oct 2010 • Filed in interview, Spoilers, UncategorizedNo Comments

Mark Salling recently did an exclusive interview with Alloy.com. We were lucky enough to have had the interview e-mailed to us Alloy themselves! In the interview, Mark discusses his album, his musical influences, his type of girl and a few Glee spoilers (so look out!). One thing I will say, though, is that the interview may have been done a month or two ago (likely in August) because the article in which I found it says that Mark’s album was to come out on October 12, which is something we know is not true. It actually comes out on October 26! Read below for the full Q&A!

***EDIT: the “October 12″ was actually a typo. Alloy conducted this interview 2 days ago (October 12, 2010)

Mark Salling, who plays Puck, the loveably rebellious bad boy on Glee, is really well-known as, well, the loveably rebellious bad boy on Glee. But did you know that when he’s not belting it out (and making the girls swoon) in everyone’s favorite fictional high school choir, he’s singing, producing, and recording for his solo album, “Pipe Dreams?”

Mark chatted with us about wooing girls with his music, having a “type,” and dating a certain Glee girl. Click on!

And PS! Don’t forget to pick up “Pipe Dreams” on October 26!

So, tell us about “Pipe Dreams!”
I wrote it, produced it, and played all the instruments.

Where did you get most of your inspiration?
Some songs are about just being grateful for the blessings that you have when you realize how good you have it. Some songs are about how some people die before their body dies. Some songs are about getting desperate for someone to give you a chance.

Glee has reportedly started looking for children to play younger versions of the program’s characters.

According to Entertainment Weekly, sources have confirmed that the show is searching for kindergarten-age actors.

The team are said to be looking for younger versions of Puck (Mark Salling), Mercedes (Amber Riley), Santana (Naya Rivera), Brittany (Heather Morris) and Rachel (Lea Michele).

It is not yet clear why the young actors are being cast, although it has been suggested that the children may appear in flashbacks. Tonight’s episode of the show, ‘Grilled Cheesus’, includes a short flashback featuring one member of the cast as a child.

Glee continues on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Fox.
