Ashley Fink was recently interviewed by Celebuzz about Glee, and she mentioned Mark Salling a few times!

About their make out scene in the supply closet, Ashley said

“The director kept telling us to ‘kiss a little longer,’ so Mark literally started singing the Big Red theme song. It was hysterical.”

And what song would she love to duet with Mark?

And I want to duet ‘Pour Some Sugar on Me’ with Mark!’”

Puck is hot. And you love him. And luckily, in reality, Mark Salling also happens to be sweet and smart, and just as hot as his character, so you’ll love him even more. Now that the show’s back from the holidays, get excited for what’s next and check out what Mark had to say about Glee, music, and his solo album, Pipe Dreams.

17: What can we expect from Puck the rest of this season?

MS: Puck’s just the same old guy. I hate to tell you this, but there’s no more Puck/Quinn drama this season. Same old Puck. Mohawk’s back, so obviously…

17: Do you like Puck better when he’s showing his softer side, or when he’s the bad boy?

MS: There needs to be a combination of both. He wouldn’t be Puck if he wasn’t a badass, but he wouldn’t be accessible if he didn’t grow as a character. I just hope the character’s funny. I want him to be comic relief.

17: Do you have a favorite song that you guys have done this season?

MS: There are so many. The Warblers, everything that they do is really cool. “Teenage Dream.” That one was dope. I think that’s going to be on the number one single album—that says a lot.

17: You also put out a solo album this year, Pipe Dreams. What should we know about it?

MS: I picked 12 different tracks from a catalog I have of over 50, so it’s kind of all over the place. My influences are everything from Pantera to Louis Armstrong, and I wanted this record to showcase my range. Hopefully, there will be something for everybody.

      17: Why Pipe Dreams?

MS: “Pipe Dreams” is the title track—not because it’s the single, but because it’s the most honest song. I wanted this to be an honest record. It’s basically describing the pipe dreams that I had of going out to West Coast and making it in the music business somehow. I wanted to stay true to that.

The country has been reeling since news broke of the massacre that took place at an Arizona grocery store on Saturday targeting United States Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, including “Glee” stars Mark Salling and Chord Overstreet.

At a photo shoot for the Ocean Pacific clothing line in Lancaster, California on Sunday, Mark and Chord revealed their point of view on their personal safety and how the recent tragedy might affect them in the future.

“Our fans are really just very respectful and kind and I have not encountered any kind of hostility like that,” said Mark. “But I don’t think you have to be recognizable or not to be concerned with your safety. I mean, we all travel and we all go to airports and grocery stores and everything else… I think fear is what you don’t need to do… You can’t be scared ’cause you could die right now walking across the street.”

Chord cited minor nuisances that he has encountered since finding fame on the hit show, saying, “Since they see [me] all the time on TV, they feel like they can just come up to me and grab [me].” But Chord agreed with Mark that gleeks are respectful for the most part.

Robert Kardashian revealed that he’s more of a homebody as a result of the violence that occasionally occurs on the late-night party scene.

“There’s a new club called Eden that just opened the other night in L.A. on Friday, and I was going to go and I didn’t and there was a shooting right in front,” said Robert. “I don’t like to go out ’cause of reasons like that.”

Mark and Chord have had less time to go out due to “Glee”‘s heavy shooting schedule. The show returns on February 6 with a special tribute to Michael Jackson’s Thriller, following the Super Bowl.

As for recent whispers that “Glee” might air a tribute episode to Justin Bieber, Mark called the gossip “rumors.”

In fact, “Glee” showrunner Ryan Murphy refuted the rumors, talking to Entertainment Weekly: “Those [tributes] are reserved for artists with big catalogs,” said Ryan. “Bieber comes up in episode 13 as a small plot point. Sam (Chord) sings a JB song to win Quinn’s (Dianna Agron) approval.”

Glee star Mark Salling has revealed the kind of girl he goes for when it comes to dating.

The 28-year-old actor and singer, who is best known for his role of Puck on the musical show, admits he doesn’t like women who are “hard to handle”.

“My ideal girl has gotta know how to have fun and be able to laugh at herself,” Mark explained during an interview with the new issue of Company.

He adds to the magazine: “I like someone who is sweet-hearted and laidback. Oh, and if she can dance, that’s really hot! I can’t deal with women who are hard to handle.”

As for whether he is romantic, Salling continued: “I’m only romantic for the right girl.

“I couldn’t decide what to get for a girlfriend one Valentine’s Day so I wrote her a song, recorded it and sent her the CD,” he recalled. “I could tell she was impressed.”

The actor is best known for his portrayal of bad boy Noah ‘Puck’ Puckerman in television show Glee, about a group of high school students in a singing club. Glee has become hugely popular over the last year with the 28-year-old achieving heartthrob status as a result. Despite this latest development, Mark revealed he can still remember the girl he shared his first kiss with, even if he doesn’t want to disclose names.

“Of course. She’s actually a big actress now so I don’t want to embarrass her by saying who! But we were at the same drama college and living in apartments opposite each other. We used to hang around and roller skate together. It was a great kiss,” he told Company magazine.

Mark Salling’s interview with KHOP Morning Paper this passed week! :)

Article written by Brittany on 28 Nov 2010 • Filed in interview, MagazineNo Comments

Mark Salling is featured in OK Magazine’s most recent copy, out on newsstands now. In it, he participated their Last Word interview. Below is the part of the interview that is not featured in the magazine.

Last time you went home to Dallas?
I went home in July for a wedding for a good friend of mine. I’m so homesick right now. It’s been too long.

Last time you got a speeding ticket?
Probably five years ago – I don’t get that many speeding tickets but I’ve probably accumulated at least $8,000 in parking tickets.

Last thing you did before you left home?
I don’t like to think I ever left, I’m just in an extended business trip to Los Angeles.

      Last thing you lost?
      My mind.

      Last indulgence?
I tend to go hard on that In-N-Out, animal-style fries and all.
